Amdital allows you to control what each role can do across all modules.
Navigate to the Roles & Permissions module.
Identify the role you want to update. Amdital supports five roles:
Owner – Full access across all modules.
Admin – Can manage most modules and assign permissions.
Manager – Limited module control; may not delete or approve.
Employee – Can view/edit selected modules; usually no delete/approve.
User – Typically view-only access.
For each module, you will see five permissions:
View – Can access and see content
Add – Can create new content
Edit – Can modify content
Delete – Can remove content
Approve – Can approve or publish content
Click the dropdown next to a role under a module.
Select or deselect the permissions as needed.
After selection:
Permissions are updated immediately.
A pop-up notification appears: “Permissions updated successfully”.
Tip: You can update multiple modules and multiple roles using the same dropdown approach. Each selection is saved automatically.
Amdital provides a central page to manage all roles in the system.
Go to the Manage Roles page under the Roles & Permissions module.
You will see all five roles listed:
Owner
Admin
Manager
Employee
User
For each role, the following actions are available:
Delete: Remove the role from the system.
Import from Role: Copy permissions from an existing role to quickly set up the new role.
After performing any action or updating roles, click Save to apply all changes.
All users assigned to a role will automatically inherit the updated permissions.
Tip: Use Import from Role to save time when creating new roles with similar permissions.
To maintain secure and effective permission management, follow these best practices:
Assign permissions based on responsibilities
Only give access that is necessary for a role’s function.
Avoid giving delete or approve permissions unless required.
Review permissions regularly
Periodically check that roles have appropriate access for current workflows.
Adjust permissions as team responsibilities change.
Use module-specific permissions
Changes in one module do not affect others.
This provides granular control over what each role can do.
Use dropdown selections with pop-up confirmation
Always verify that “Permissions updated successfully” appears.
This ensures that updates are applied immediately and reduces errors.
Centralize role management
Use the Manage Roles page to update, add, or remove roles.
Avoid creating duplicate or redundant roles.
